A student from the College of Arts Sciences recently took home the crown as the Hara sa FU 2019 last December 5 at the Sofia Soller Sinco Hall.
Jelly Candia, 20, who is currently taking up broadcast communication, bested all the other candidates for this year’s pageant. She also garnered the Best Speaker Award due to her impressive answers delivered in both the preliminary and final interview portions.
Candia’s court is composed of Hara sa FU 2019 1st Runner-up Cara Angela Obas from the College of Nursing and Hara sa FU 2019 2nd Runner-up Milen Jan Rodriguez from the College of Education.
Obas was able to win special awards such as: Best in Playwear and Best in Evening Gown. Meanwhile, Rodriguez got hold of most minor awards namely: Best in Entourage, Best in Costume, Best in Talent, and the Best Mythical Wings Award.
On the other hand, Nikki Evelyn Ortega from Agriculture, Criminology and Engineering won the Ms. Photogenic Award and Edualyn Rose Rama was chosen as Ms. Professionalism.
Hara sa FU is held annually to celebrate beauty and self-transformation since the institution’s inception in 1949.
This year’s festivities signal the beginning of grandiose celebrations to mark not only Foundation University’s 70th founding anniversary but also the 7th decade of Hara sa FU dating back to 1949 during the holding of the Ms. Foundation College.
