The College of Hospitality Management (CHM) Week is an annual celebration to jumpstart the year round events in the college. It is an exciting week especially for the freshmen students. This year, it was held from July 23 to 26.

Part of the said celebration are the learning inputs organized by the student government officers and the faculty members led by Johnrey Quitoy and with the guidance of Dean RD Marie Delos Reyes.

These seminars are opportunities of learning to benefit the students. And the learning inputs are as follows: flower arrangement, balloon twisting, fruit carving, personality development, social graces and on becoming a flight attendant. Such seminars jumpstart the fun and learning experience that motivates students to be responsible and creative in their journey throughout college. The seminars provide a set of guidelines for the representative of each year level for the CHM skills competition where individuals and groups compete in various events in order to shows creative ideas and originality.

Aside from the seminar, Team Building exercises were also held to enable students to become interactive, friendly and a good team player. The goal of the activity is mainly to unite and establish the bond and camaraderie among CHM students.

Meanwhile, CHM sponsored a Eucharistic Celebration in the morning of Friday, July 26. Students and members of the faculty and staff united their intentions and offered thanksgiving for the college and its students.

Finally, the much awaited part of of the celebration was the CHM Night themed, “Stripes and Prints Together” in the evening of the 26th held at the Sofia Soller Sinco Hall. The event served as the college’s acquaintance party.

The program began at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon. The program was hosted by Laurence Lite and the event styling was done by Dwight Gutang.

Part of the program was the Battle of the Talents with representatives from each year level. Awards were also given to those who were best dressed for the occasion. These students were then featured in a fashion show accompanied by the live song rendition of Princess Nesnia.

Capping the said celebration was the unity dance led by Reynaldo Buagas and Honey Mayo which eventually enticed everyone to get into the dance floor.
