With the aim to develop a sense of camaraderie among the participating local chapters, the Accountancy Week Celebration was held annually for accountancy students in Dumaguete City, organized by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Dumaguete Chapter in partnership with the Negros Oriental Federation-Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NOF-JPIA).
Themed “Reinforcing the Future. Together. Today, ” the said event held from July 20 to 21 was participated by students from the accountancy and management accounting programs of Asian College, Foundation University, Negros Oriental State University, St. Paul University Dumaguete and Silliman University.
Foundation University Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (FU JPIA) and Junior Institute of Management Accountants (JIMA) actively participated in the 2019 Accountancy Week Celebration hosted by Silliman University.
Various activities were part of the celebration such as: basketball, volleyball, swimming, table tennis, badminton, chess, modern dance competition, lip-sync battle, Bandakada, OPM solo, and music video parody, quiz bowl, poster-making, speed typing, polo shirt design competition. The highlight of the celebration, Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill.
The FUJPIA and FUJIMA excelled in a number of events including the Accounting Quiz Bowl with representatives, James Beaucar Quitos and Mark Anthony Cadayona who were named champions. The teams from FU also won the top spot for mixed volleyball, badminton doubles, chess, modern dance, and music video parody teams.
Foundation University garnered the second spot in the overall ranking.
