A biology graduate from Foundation University emerged as one of the 25 national finalists in the search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP).
Ivan Christopher B. Cordevilla, the Salutatorian of Class 2018, is among the 5 who represents Central Visayas Region.
During his college days, Cordevilla actively participated in organizations inside and outside the campus. He holds a varied and enriching experience not only as a biology student but also as a community youth leader and as an aspiring debater.
In 2017, he was chosen as one of the participants of the Ayala Leaders’ Congress and later, was later chosen as rapporteur to serve as one of the facilitators of the said congress the following year. Apart from that, he also represented the country in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Youth Summit and the 3rd ASEAN Foundation Model ASEAN Meeting.
The network he has established with fellow youth leaders around the country and around Asia has enriched his knowledge and experience in leadership, cultural understanding and community development work, more specifically with environmental advocacies.
During the course of his college days, Cordevilla was a member of the Corps of Ushers and was also part of the student government.
Foundation University takes pride of its students and graduates who chose to pursue excellence in their academic and co-curricular endeavors along with active community involvement and youth leadership which are essential to nation-building.
